Hello everyone! Earlier this month (on February 5th to be exact), Dianna hosted a special dinner for her favorite shoe designer and good friend Fabrizio Viti. My offline life has been crazy lately, so I apologize for the late update! But I have finally updated our gallery with a couple of photos from the dinner, showing Dianna looking absolutely divine in a glittery red dress. Choosing a favorite look is impossible when it comes to her, but this one definitely makes it to the top 20 for me! Unfortunately there’s not a lot of photos from the evening, because of how intimate the dinner was, but I hope you’ll enjoy the few I’ve managed to collect. Stay tuned for more updates in a little while, as Dianna was at the London Fashion Week today!

Vogue – With its dark wood and vine-covered bricks, the Waverly Inn in the West Village lends itself to intimacy and playfulness. Last night, Dianna Agron showcased both those qualities with a cozy, romantic, and refreshingly old-fashioned dinner thrown in honor of her friend Fabrizio Viti, the shoe designer for Louis Vuitton and his own eponymous line. Both had much to celebrate last night: Viti was feting the launch of his online store, while Agron was closing her two-week run at the storied Café Carlyle.

Served in the covered courtyard, illuminated by flickering candles and a fireplace that glowed in the center of the room, the feast consisted of wedge salads, butter biscuits, chicken pot pies, and other (albeit highly elevated) comfort foods. Cocktails and wine flowed freely. Dried flowers were strewn across the table, as were gold Scrabble pieces that spelled out the name of each seat’s intended occupant. As waiters passed dirty martinis to the mingling guests, Gisela Niedzielski, cofounder of the Fabrizio Viti brand, spoke lovingly of her friend and business partner. She described the new Fabrizio Viti website as a “home” for the brand and its clients. Johanna Dunn, a vision in black Chanel, articulated the feelings of many last night: “I hesitate to use this phrase, as it’s so overused, but Fabrizio truly is a creative genius.”

When Fabrizio himself joined us, he laughed off his friends’ lavish praise. “I’m sure they’re telling you about all these places I worked and things I have done. You must think I am 100 years old!”. Despite his long and remarkable résumé (collaborations with Tom Ford, Miuccia Prada, Marc Jacobs, and most recently, Nicolas Ghesquière), the designer exudes a youthful vigor and an obvious infatuation with his craft. But he’s most proud of the label that bears his name. “With this,” the designer’s dark eyes sparkling as he spoke, “I can be me.”

With Fashion Week looming in the days ahead, the stylish relished this calm moment before the chaos. Selby Drummond dressed like a 1970s goddess in a white jumpsuit. Nell Diamond, with her glittering eye shadow and feathered frock, swooped around the restaurant like a bird of paradise. Gagosian’s Sarah Hoover appeared impossibly fresh-faced, having just returned from Cuba hours before. Kyle Hotchkiss Carone, the man behind Cafe Clover, oozed excitement over his upcoming venture, called American Bar, which will offer rich fare in a nostalgic, luxurious environment.

Despite the glittering crowd, the attention remained on the hostess and her guest of honor. Agron explained that she will not attend any of the New York shows (she’s shooting a new film and must jet off to London with her husband in the coming days), but surveying the room last night, it would seem there was enough fashion and excitement to last her a week.
